Won't Start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Chrysler Sebring LXi with the 2.7. It was running perfectly fine and when I pulled in my driveway, put it in Park and the car just shut off and hasn't started since.  Fuel pressure and compression are good. Firing is sporadic, sometimes we get it sometimes we don't but even when we are getting it, its not enough to fire it. We have changed the cam sensor, crank sensor and even checked all the wires for shorts. Took the covers off and looked at the timing, the marks look to be on still as far as what I can see however it looks like the tensioner is out past the wear mark. Could that just being out too far make the car not start even if the timing marks are still good?

If that timing was off due to the worn timing belt, there would have ben a code set to set off the check engine light. When a engine has a crankshaft & camshaft sensor the timing needs to be perfect. It does sound like it needs replacing, but not so sure it is why it shut off. I almost thinking it may have something to do with the security system. The spark does not sound right. It should be white in color, not orange in color. Try resetting the security system. (I do not know how)
