Is a extended warranty from warranty solutions good or bad?

Question type: General
I bought a extended warranty from warranty solutions from the dealer and started reading bad reviews about it. I purchased the Ecomind preowned 5 star with a $200 deductable, Bumper to bumper 3 year 32,000 mile.

Have you read the contract you signed? It's full of exclusions. Get your money back if you can. Put it in a special savings account. And use that money should something go wrong.
I thought I was seeing that as I read through it too. Thanks for the push.
There is only a small handful of extended service contracts that are good. Anything underwritten by Royal Administration is ok. And even then, it is amazing at the price disparity between companies for the EXACT same contract. There are exceptions, but generally an extended service contract on a car is a very poor investment. They are designed to make the company money - not give you an easy out on repair bills.
Just in case someone stumbles upon this post today, I just like to let you know Warranty Solutions is STILL a total scam. It's a shame this company is still in business. Contracts still have pages of exclusions. My contract had 24 different clauses of exclusions one clause (#14 on my contract) which basically uses the language "including but not limited to", which they then use to exclude everything! They will tell you it's only excluding items of "normal maintenance services" until you try to get it covered. I got the 10 year, 100,000 miles, bumper-to-bumper package which included all electrical systems. Literally have had every single repair item denied. Wish I would have come across this before purchasing.

Stay away from Warranty Solutions. The extended warranty they offer you at the dealership from Warranty Solutions covers very little. They are making money hand over fist as they are collecting on your monthly note and then not paying out on any claims.

Do not give warranty solutions one penny of your hard earned money. We are for weeks and to trying to provide them with documentation of maintenance and now tear down of vehicle so they can find yet another reason to try to deny our claim. This warranty is a total waste of your money.

You know people who have no idea, should keep their mouth shut. Service contracts help ease the cost of car repair. It allows you in most cases to finance your future car problems, so when they come up you won't be stuck. ( most Americans have less then $1500 in savings!!!) Paying cash is a little different but same principle exists. Paying a fair price for a warranty is never a bad idea. Especially if you cant fix it yourself.
