Ive got a subaru which has a new battery but wont start unless i roll start or get jumped by another car, can anyone tell me what it maybe ??

Ive been told alot of things but i like doing repairs on the car myself , ive been doing
some research and thinking could be the alternator anyone ever had this problem ?

The dash lights only turn on when the car is in motion any thoughts please :) Fuel Pump ? Spark plugs? Alternator ? Battery terminals ?

I have a 2002 Subaru legacy and it just came back from the body shop and had a new tailgate, light and rear window replaced from a hit and run, Got it home and it will not start anymore. I have a 1997 SUBARU LEGACY. While driving yesterday my car shut off on me. I noticed that I had no fire on my plugs. I tested the coil pack and everything was good. When I try to start my car it just 1 Answer

Whines but will not start. I tried using either and still nothing. Can someone please help me. Coil pack good. Spark plugs good. Disconnected battery to try and reset the cpu. Please help.
