Not an answer, but i have the same problem on a 2006 Signature TC. I'm too busy to go to dealer until end of March. Fortunately I have an extended warranty that is supposed to cover this problem. I hope to remember to report back the results.

Re my previous answer, I picked up my 2006 TC today and with a new battery the seat belt warnings have gone away. No RCM problems. The dealer's mechanic says that a faulty battery will raise havoc with the computer and give some crazy results. Although the old battery was only 21 months old, it was found to be defective. Fortunately the old battery was warranted as "free replacement" for 36 months. I only drove the car 15 miles today with all systems working. Time will tell if the problem happens again. I can only suggest you have your battery checked even if it seems o.k..to you. It could be weak enough to cause trouble. Hope this helps.
