Why are my sensors going crazy

Asked by Mshunt07 Mar 14, 2020 at 12:05 PM about the 2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 4MATIC

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Every time I start my GLK 4Matic  and as soon as I
hit the gas pedal my truck says my trunk is open
but indeed the truck is not open. This continues to
happen everyday now and every time I stop and
push the gas pedal it says it again “truck open” the
alert lights up red and the music goes very low.
Also my Run Flat Indicator always says inoperable
and my Traction light is on and the vehicle reads
that the ESG is inoperable as well. Helppp! Is this
about to be a easy fix or tons of money?

As far as the "truck open" I suspect the switch on the tailgate is broken or out of alignment. Should be easy fix. As far as the RFI, ESG and traction light, they point to a problem with the ESG, caused by an internal fault, incorrect tire sizes/type or failure to reset sensors after a crash. These will need professional help.
