Coolant leaks immediately after putting in, and a loud hissing when it overheats at/around reservoir. Doubtful the head gasket- likely maybe the hose? The leaking is directly under the reservoir. There is also a steam- not smoke, coming from the reservoir.. what the heck is going on with this dang car? If I were a teen- I'd hashtag this "MONEYPIT" lol.

I going to suggestion a loose clamp or a hole in a hose. a cheap fix that should eliminate the head gasket being the problem and if there is any holes anywhere. I would use whats called K-seal this item is a 50/50 shot as to if it will fix your problem but I have had great experience with it! make sure you have the car up to running temp before dumping in the reservoir also make sure heat/air is set to OFF as this product can damage heater cores

You should see where it is leaking as the area would be wet. May be a heater hose or just coming out of the reservoir. It may be that the thermostat needs to be changed. Always fix the problem. Don't be putting any crap into the cooling system that can block up your heater core.
