I have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXI
convertible 2.7 L V6 it needs a water pump
replaced should I replace the timing chain as
well at the same time

Yes , any time you have to remove the water pump on this type motor , always replace guide chain and tensioners, it can save you valve damage down the road. , you dont want that to happen .
