Transmission Slip

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I just had my transmission fluid changed and it still
slips in first gear. How do I drain 1 quart of
transmission fluid so I can add Lucas
Transmission Fix? I drive a 2006 Buick Rendezvous
with an automatic transmission.

Use a suction gun and a long tube.

Thank you for your comment. I solved the problem with my transmission. I bought a 2006 Buick Rendezvous CXL with 78,000 miles on it. The automatic transmission slipped in first gear. The previous owner did not have the transmission fluid changed at 40,000 miles. The first thing I did is had the transmission fluid changed. It still slipped in first gear. The next inexpensive thing I did was add a quart of "Lucas" Transmission Fix. It worked immediately. No more transmission slip. To do this I bought a quart of Lucas Transmission Fix at the local Auto Store. The transmission fluid does not have a reservoir so you have to extract the fluid from the same tube that your dipstick goes in. I bought a very inexpensive hand pump with a long enough tube to go all the way down the dipstick tube. I hand pumped out one quart of transmission fluid, and then added one quart of Lucas Transmission Fix. The whole process took about fifteen minutes. See photo.
