02 Buick rendezvous ignition

02 Buick rendezvous started the key in the farthest
position windshield wipers don't work AC don't
work radio don't work pull it back just a fraction of
a hair where it's still running everything works do I
need a new ignition

Sounds like some of the mechanism inside may be busted up , You could remove the switch and see , A lock smith may get you a better price than the dealer , there is some kind of transponder along with the programed key so you may want to take it to the dealer
Possible ignition but could be a mechanical failure in locking mechanism which operates the electronic part.
Definitely sounds like the ignition switch. Looks like the lock cylinder is not involved with this. Unless the receiver for the transponder key is part of the ignition switch, no programming should be necessary. Hope that helps! Jim
