My brakes are locking randomly with no lights on dash, please someone help!

Asked by Nicksmama09 Nov 27, 2016 at 12:38 PM about the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Randomly my brakes will build pressure and my peddle will be almost
impossible to push, it will be extremely hard to accelerate and the minute I
take my foot of the gas the truck will come to a complete stop. If you drive it
for maybe a mile or more like that the breaks will smell when you get out.
There is no lights on on my dash and the only way I have figured out to stop it
is to shut the truck off and pull my abs fuses, let it sit for a while and then put
them back in but as time goes on its happening more and more. We have
looked at my brakes, calipers and pretty much all aspects of the wheel well. If
anyone had this issue before or can give me any advise please help!
