Asked by jekjjeep May 19, 2015 at 10:54 PM about the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I try to put my 2006 Grand Cherokee into 4x4 low it does not engage and gives my
a light warning that says service 4x4, anyone knows what this could be the vehicle does
have 105xxx miles on it and i don't want to spend a ton of money on it but might be willing
to if the cost is not to steep. Thanks,

Could be actuator not engaging! Low fluid levels will set off warning as well! If my reply helped Please click my helpful link! Thank you!

The other item I failed to mention was a blown fuse check #25. Also every month the vehicle is to be placed in 4lo to lubricate the actuator! Remember transmission must be in nuetral and vehicle stopped to do this! Remember to click my helpful link if you find this useful
