Unable to unlock with key fob

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I am unable to unlock my 2006 Jeep Grand
Cherokee with my key fob. I have changed the
battery in both my fobs AND unhooked my Jeep
battery to reset the inner settings. Neither one
worked for me. Is there an antenna or sensor I
need to order for it to start working again?

Did they both fail at the same time? Do the fobs function at all or are they only lock and unlock? Next, just disconnecting the battery will not reset the fobs, follow the programing "drill" Jeep.
I think I'm starting to have tge same issue. Just purchased my 2005 grand Cherokee and the key fob will stop working to lock and unlock the car. When I use my key to unlock doors my alarm goes off. Ambarrasing! Haven't tried to replace batteries yet.
I have a 2005 Grand Cherokee and my key fob would stop working intermittently. Tried new batteries, cleaning battery contacts, etc... I was using a Scosche bluetooth FM radio interface to play songs from my iPhone on the stereo. I stopped using it because of bad audio quality, then to my surprise the fob issue resolved. Some sort of interference, very strange.

I have an 05 wk with the same issue. It's intermittent and embarrassing! The only way to stop the alarm is to disconnect the battery, and then it works fine until the next time it doesn't.
