Check engine light on for 1 day and then off for a week

My check engine light stays on for about 1 day and
then goes off for almost a week. I had it checked
out and i was told the my trasmission computer is
bad, but my trans is shifting fine.

Transmission problem, these Jeeps have issues with transmission filters coming loose or apart, unfortunately ur gonna have to take it to the stealer
