12.27 volts is low on the battery. Should be at least 12.5, and a fully charged battery checks at 12.7 DCV. May have a faulty alternator or the battery is old, or bad battery connections or cables.
I came here because I also have the exact same problem. Have you resolved the problem? What did you end up finding out was the causing the issue and and was the solution?
My mechanics spent 3 hours and said the fuse box broken. Labor/parts/tax to replace it costs $575.
Same problem no ignition lights steering locked. Took it to Mercedes and they had to fit a new electric steering lock £850
MB is a ripoff, that is the short and long term answer. ML350 - 2014, garage kept, MB maintained since new. In the Battery compartment there is a fuse that is designed to blow if you jump start incorrectly (we never used to jump start anything) or airbags were deployed (never in any wreck of any kind). $1200.00-1500.00 MB dealer. the fuse cost under $100.00 US$. Takes about an hour. MB either designs future failure into its vehicles or the engineering just sucks that bad. Either way they know this issue and usually most will have towed to a shop or worse yet MB service and payot out $1700.00 (including towing) and lose a week to ten days w/o your vehicle waiting on them to fix a simple item due to a poor engineering design.
MB = Mechanically Bogus.
