Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have had a battery drain for a while on the car and now it turned into a dead short.
The good news is that when I connected a new battery it heated the smaller black wire
that connects to the positive jump post.  When I reconnected the wiring I omitted that
wire and everything seems to be fine except the power brakes are spongy (may be an
unrelated issue, possibly the brake booster is inop).  The headlights, interior
accessories, engine, and transmission all seem to be working so where does that wire
go?

Rear window defogger, via circuit breaker, or power top to pump motor. Try googling schematics or stop by a parts house its important or chrysler wouldn't have put it on the car.
