My Check engine light came on and now my dash lights go on and off and I get a CCD code. If I pound on the dash it works for a while. autozone tested and gave me the code P1698 which shows as failed ECM, probable cause open CCD bus line or failed TCM. Is this something I can find and fix?

I'm not sure if you can fix, but probably the Transmission Control Module that is bad, It may be just a bad connection running to it. P1698 CHRYSLER - ECM Fault No CCD Message From TCM... Possible causes... - Faulty Engine control Module (ECM) - Engine control Module(ECM) harness is open or shorted - Engine control Module (ECM) cicuit poor electricl connection - Low battery voltage... Possible symptoms... - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) P1698 Chrysler Description... Engine control Module (ECM) unable to communicate with Transmission Control Module (TCM)
I own an '05 convertible. It was a lease vehicle. Great Serv. records. Initial drive went into limp. Seller pulls codes. He dropped the price to $1,500, bought it. Believed I could fix it. Replaced solenoid pack, input and output sensors. Engine light went off, but came back shortly after. Very frustrating. Searching all the sites to get help. Next step is TCM, but will check wiring first. A Chrysler plant mech. states there is a wiring fix that will solve the issue. Right now the car will run great with light on. Some days it will go off for the whole day, only to return next day. I'm sure the issue is not that serious, and will be solved thru elimination. On thing I've always done but didn't with this veh. is fluid change and tune up of the bat. I've also been advised that ground wires, and connections have to be solid. God Bless Our beautiful Sebrings. So sweet.
I had a 2000 jeep Grand Cherokee do that all warning lights came on gauges droped to zero engine later shut off. Found out both battery terminals were lose. I replaced them and reset code. Everything is back to normal my problem was low voltage from battery.
