Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My ac stopped blowing cold air  I had stopped at a auto store to get oil and
transmission fluid I could hear the compressor turning on but it's not blowing
cold air I saw smoke coming from the compressor when I turned the ac on .
Could it have seized or froze up?  and if so how do I fix that ? Or do i need to
replace the compressor , the drier and expansion valve ?

Must places don't change clutches they replace the entire AC compressor, you can do it or have it done ....Then Pay $85-100 and have it evacuated, checked for leaks 30mm of vacuum ...and filled with the correct oil PAG,# and amount. Then filled to the correct weight ONLY proper way, of refrigerant 134A. That's what I suggest..
