Cadillac SRX won't run after fueling

Ok so i have a 2004 Cadillac SRX with a V6
The other day I put $30 worth of gas in the tank and
after i finished fueling I went to start it and it would
start but die immediately. The only way it would run
is if I kept floored it while starting and kept giving it
gas, as soon as I pulled my foot off the gas pedal it
would stall.
I did this and jammed it into gear and drove it up
the street to my house, I also had no power brakes
for some reason.
I've done a lot of research and can't seem to find
the answer. A lot of people said try replacing the
purge valve. I did that and no change.
Any input?
