Can't figure out the problem

Asked by Sherry Feb 19, 2016 at 01:27 AM about the 1999 Chrysler Sebring JXi Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced all the hosres ,filters , spark
plugs and wires ,water pump , distributor
and cap , crank shaft sensor. It ran GREAT
for about two months. Then just started
cutting out and the engine light comes on.
The strange thing is, that when it mess up,
I turn the fan on high and it runs better and
I can make it home. The car has not been
drive able for over six months. ?

Sounds like a blown head gasket or warped head. Have you had an at temp compression test done?/?

Sounds like your radiator fan is not coming on causing your car to over heat. Pop the hood, start the car and watch the temperature gauge. The fan should turn on before it overheats. Also. If you turn on your ac, one of those two fans should turn on immediately. If they don't check your fuses then relays. Luck
