How do i get my keyless entry to work?

I bought my truck and the keyless entry does not work, the light comes on the button but
nothing happens.

are you certain the key's battery is okay? Left on a hot dashboard? Laundered? make sure this one works first~

reset by disconnecting the black cable for fifteen seconds, pump the brakes five times, switch the A/C on and off to drain any latent charges and put the cable back~ should restart fresh~

Lots of 2009 owners having issues with theirs. Check battery in fob. Clean contacts. This might help but from what I been reading its a shot in the dark. They have upgrades for 2010 and newer but not 2009 due to its manufacturer/electronics. I would dig into dodge forums to find a better answer.
