My 2012 Durango died. We replaced the alternator and battery. Still won't run. Cranks up then dies shortly after. Interior lights and radio work. Back up camera says it needs service. What else do we check?

Replaced alternator with the proper 180 alternator. Replace battery with brand new battery.

What is a saver tool? I looked for the shut down procedure but can't find it. What section would it be in? Not sure what BCM stands for here! Sorry I'm not that great with vehicles but can be told what to do on one and never forget or watch and learn!

It's not right to have to go to the dealer for everything. If I can't just change a battery without screwing up the programming I don't want that vehicle
