On my 2012 Cadillac CTS, the gear position light stopped working. Could this be a fuse? Very hard to locate which one and location. Thank you.

It's unlikely to be a fuse. A specific fuse would feed power to the entire instrument lighting cluster affecting all of the instrument lights. It might be that the light or LED itself is out.
Is it rocket science to find/replace the bulb (or led). Thanks

My guess is that you'd need access to the back of the instrument cluster to enable access to the specific bulb. I have a 2011 CTS Sedan and a 2012 CTS-V. Access looks to be gained with under the hump on dash (in front of driver). Hopefully the bulb isn't integral to the cluster itself. Meaning that you have to change out the entire cluster. Can't imagine that Cadillac would do that to us.
