What are the title requirements to sell a car?

Asked by Guru96HRHF Oct 24, 2022 at 12:23 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS Sedan FWD

Question type: General

The title is in my name and my deceased husbands name.  Is the title and the
death certificate what I need to sell the car?

Laws vary from State to State so definitely check with your local Motor Vehicle Agency. If you're the executor of the estate it will not be a problem. But you'll probably need a notarized copy of the death certificate and a form to fill out to get the title in your name only. Then it will be easier to sell the vehicle. Hope that helps! Jim
