How do I stop my 96 Sebring convertible from overheating

make sure the coolant level is up to tne 'full cold' mark on the translucent reservoir~ when the coolant reaches 185 degrees, your thermostat is supposed to open, exposing the coolant flow to your radiator....but if your radiator is plugged up, because the coolant never got changed and has changed to a muddy-fussy catastrophe, your radiator might be plugged or partially plugged...think you have an electric fan that comes on when the coolant reaches 185 too...may be on a different thermal switch...if you are overheating would replace THIS fan switch...and the fan switch responsible for the C---H gauge on your dashboard.~....this will stop the overheats~

...so in order, change the thermostat, flush the coolant (dispose of in an environmental fashion (in milk jugs)---bring to the auto parts store for recycling...see if the electric fan comes on when the engine goes hot...if it doesn't replace this thermal sensor responsible for puttin' on the fan~

the auto parts store will be happy to sell this fairly inexpensive stuff to you~
