my heat stopped working in my 1996 Sebring convertible 2-door 2.4 engine should I be checking the thermostat or do I need to change the heater core

The heater controls are run buy a body control module hidden on back side of fuse box, and can cause undesired operation or lack there of. Start w the fuses, common on these cars is the recurculation door can get stuck open allowing cold or humid air into the cabin usually the acutuator doors get dirty or stuck. Fix pull controls check cables by hand use caution small fragile plastic parts galore
