2012 hyundai elentra won't start

I left the key in the ignition of my 2012 Hyundai Elantra.  When I went out to the garage several  hours later I discovered that the parking lights were still on.  I tried to start the car, nothing happened and I couldn't get the parking lights to turn off. I took the key out of the ignition waited several minutes and the parking lights still remained on and the car won't start.   I tried to use the key fob to open the trunk, nothing.  The key fob won't do anything.  I tried the spare fob with same results, nothing.  I took off the fuse box cover and checked the fuses, don't really know what to look for, everything looks okay.  Checked both fuse boxes, driver's side and engine.  Parking lights are now off but car still won't start.  When I turned the key on one time the dash lights came on and then a few minutes later when I tried again they didn't come on.  Any idea what's going on?
