Why Does My Car Have Acceleration Issues After Being Driven a Couple Hours?
My car runs fine until I have been traveling a couple of hours (usually in hot
weather) and then it will suddenly start decelerating. I can push the gas all
the way to the floor and it will not go past 30 or 40 with the RPM shooting
up to 4500. If I kill the car, sit a few minutes, and restart it a couple of
times, it will run fine. There are no warning lights and when scanned, there
are no codes showing. I have had the engine codes scanned 3 times and
there is nothing. Nissan dealership said to check for a transmission code
next time. It has only done this 3 times. Once about three months ago,
once a month ago and then once last week. I don't want to get stranded
somewhere. Are there any ideas?
