No audible click when using turn signal

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2008 Suzuki XL-7 that just had a new
stereo put in by the used car dealer that I just
bought it from. Prior to the installation, the turn
signals would make the clicking noise but would
not automatically turn the signal off once the turn
was complete. Now there is no longer the audible
clicking noise. All the turn lights still work inside
and out. It is really annoying since the turn signals
do not turn off after a turn and I have no sound to
remind me to turn them off.

The "click" is made by the turn signal relay. Some are louder than others so just swapping out this $3 part might be all you need to do. It will not fix the "turn off" problem but it will give you the click to remind you. Fixing the turn off problem will likely require work on the steering column.
Same happen to me in my Suzuki XL-7 2007. Did you resolve the problem Rebeckah619?
Same thing happened to mine. When stereo would cut out, clicking noise stopped. Stereo would then pop back on when re- started. Had stereo replaced twice. I was told turn signal clicking issue was sound going through stereo(?) and was electrical issue. As far as it re-setting once you've finished turning was told it was like $400 to fix due to something with the air bag. sounded kinda hoaky but we never got it fixed and we manually re-set. Now have fuel gauge problem and trying to find out if there is an access panel to gas tank or not.
I just replaced my turn signal for $50 (ebay). Took 15 min. Whoever quoted you $400 is replacing the whole assembly including the windshield wiper switch. Audio for turn signal is routed through the factor radio, so if you replace it with an aftermarket one you will lose the audible tone. There is so sort of aftermath relayyou can purchase for compensate.
