can I use regular gas in a 2012 Taurus SHO

wht does the manual say
It requires premium fuel, if you use regular it will lower the gas milage and possibly damage the engine. Here is a link to the online owners manual: http://www.ford.com/services/assets/Brochure?make=Ford&model=Taurus&year=2012&postalCode=55401
Michael is right, SHO means "super high output" which would require 92 octane or higher. With some cars the computer would compensate for lower octane, but I would not take that chance with this car. lower grade gas would cause knocking that could damage the valves,
Thanks for the info. The manual explains a lot of stuff
Car will run OK, but not as well as with high octane. Follow Ford's specs.

Alot of these people are saying you have to put 93 octane in the SHO, or it will cause problems.. Well they obviously havent read the manual
