I just purchased a 2012 cayenne and the transmission seems to bang out the first 2-3 gears then it levels out, is this normal?

I've only checked out the 8 speed's very good, unsure of the ZF manual never drive one yet... Curious myself as to your term bangs out, as in quick? or just clunky shifting? then no more go a V6 is rather small for the vehicles weight.
by bangs out , I meant that from zero speed at the red light, the tranny seams to go very quickly thru gear 1 to 3 after that I don't feel the shifting of the gears. Also from 1 to 2 to 3 , feels clunky, like a bang to 2 then another bang to 3 then no more banging after that, only felt moving up in gears not down. not sure if there is a mode I may put the tranny in to avoid this? I've only had the car for about one month and I have not checked with the dealer that sold it to me, I just wanted to get a public opinion first, thank you
the way Porsche's works......the gears shift the way the owner drives, so all its doing it reading the way you drive! so once its reads you, the gears settle and you should have no problem! Cayenne's are great, but to be on the safe side, get a diagnosis at the Porsche dealer for $160 ....they will let you know if anything's wrong with the car and that way you can bring it back to where you brought it from with proof with paper in hand!
