This engine has four cams but uses only one camshaft sensor. They are timed with a chain and all run in unison. No need to track each and every one of the cams separately. Yes, that would be over kill.
Okay but it came up as a code POO14 8 times so i am confussed on what needs to fix it is 4 sensors and came up double

I did a little research on this and the problem might simply be your engine is low on oil and/or the oil is very dirty and needs to be changed. After the oil change, you might drive it a few days for things to lubricate up and start working properly. Then clear your codes and watch to see if it resets. Also, if the code came up eight times, that may be how many times a malfunction came up. I can find no one who says your car has four cam position sensors. Good Luck
Oh okay thanks. We will get an oil change in a few weeks there is enough oil in it and we been checking it. But does his car have more then 1? You think one is bad just weird cuz O'reilys engine light tester thing said that and looked at a diagram online and they saw 4

If O'reilys says there's four sensors, have them tag all four of them for you. They are thinking if it has four wheels, then it needs four tires. So if it has four cams, then it must need four cam sensors. Faulty logic. All four cams are chained to run in unison.
We got an oil change like a few weeks ago it doesn't make the noise anymore and runs better and the engine light came off. But it needs a transmission flush but that will be next on the list

I am very pleased my information was correct and your did not need to replace any parts. Proper lubrication is the most vital thing for an engine because the detergents keep it clean and functioning properly.
Yes, there are four cam positioning sensors on 2012 impala. I changed all of them and reset. Ran good for about an hour, then started the same crap.
