I have 2012 Kia Soento. Can radio be turned on without the car running? If so, I haven't found out how.

beverly is your sorento a push button start model? if so to put the vehicle in accesory mode(to run the radio and work the windows) do the follwing steps. WITHOUT pusing the brake pedal push the start button 2 times, the first time will turn it amber and the second should turn it blue or green. that should allow you to play the radio without the vehicle running. if its a regular model with a key and the radio doesnt play inaccesory mode you need to have it checked out at your local dealer

Another quick note: Sometimes you get home and want to keep listening to a song on the radio, but it's not obvious how you can shutdown the engine and leave the radio on. Well, if you move the gear toward park, but (this is critical) keep the gear shift toward the right while hitting the start/stop button, then allowing the gear to lock toward the left, it will turn off the engine while keeping the radio and accessories on.

All of a sudden after starting my car and driving 100 yards my Excelerator stops working I can push the gas pedal all the way to the floor and the RPMs don’t move everything seems normal except for I don’t go anywhere

I’m having the same issue. I have a 2012 Kia Sorento and my clock and radio is not turning off when the car is off. Any tips?
