The back sliding doors will not lock with the remote or the switch on the drivers door, why?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I click the lock button on the remote and the front doors lock. The sliding doors will not.
The sliding doors will not lock with the button on the drivers door. You have to manually
reach in the back and lock the doors each time. They will not lock either.

Simply take it to a Kia dealership ...
The dealer will charge you about $600 for this part and if you order it online from the website I gave you it is only $148.30. Copy and past the link below into your URL address and it will take you straight to the part website for KIA. Find another place or your husband to put the new part in the dealership will charge way too much! http://www.kiapartsaccessories.com/oe-kia/814504d513? search_str=81450-4D513
Hey Annette, I too am having the same problem. I researched your link and show that the part is called a CONTROLLER and it is selling for $132.59. Am I correct that this is the part that will fix the back sliding doors that will not lock except manually?
I have the same issue with the passenger side sliding door and the rear hatch door. Neither of them will lock and the back door doesn't have a manual lock like the sliding door. Any idea what I should do or should I follow the advice to just buy the part and fix it myself?

I had the same issue with the back door and recently bought the part on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/271740075157? _trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBI DX%3AIT It was $102 and a local mechanic changed the part in my house for $80. The local KIA dealer wanted to charge me $700 for parts and labor. They overcharge incredibly!!! Get the part and find a decent mechanic to change it
I have the same problem and was told by the dealer master tech that the doors are not to lock with the remote or the lock button on the front doors! All of the doors locked when I purchased the vehicle now only the 2 front doors and hatch lock with the key. I will definitely look into purchasing the part to hopefully fix this issue.
Hi, I am having similar problems with my 2010 Sedona. However, it is random. Sometimes when using my fob one or more will not lock. It could be a front door(s) or a sliding door. Only once has it been the back hatch door. If I use the driver’s door button to lock all, the same thing can happen. Some doors 1/2 way lock. I walk all the way around my vehicle sometimes to find the culprit!
