my volvo xc90 2009 4wd , the drive shaft was damage son my mechanic took it out and converted to 2wd. I am driving it like that now , but is ok ?

it driving ok. But my brother mention that the my xc90 is not designed to be 2wd I do want to fix it but the part is around $1,000.00. is very pricey
