Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What should the normal operating temp be? I posted a question regarding my cooling fans and the car seems to be running fine but only one fan comes on and is quite loud. My temp this morning got to about 205 and it was 68 outside. Does that seem normal?

Yes. 205 is fine and the other fan might only come on when either it begins to get at whatever setting the ECU has to turn it on or you turn on the A/C

. 205 is not even boiling at sea level..but if you are up at any altitude less than the 212 but it won't boil anyway being under pressure ..and 50/50 antifreeze will raise the boil temp even more, but not a lot, from 212@ SL to 223 F @ SL
