2006 dodge durango ltd speedometer quit working

speedometer quit working. Code: P0501  ceh speed sensor A Ran9e/ performance. Replaced transmission sensor, still does not work. Cannot find another sensor on rear differential? BTW we have previously disconnected the ABS controller unit as it was malfunctioning.

Look for sensor on top of rear diff. Be careful when removing it. They like to break off. Twist it while pulling upwards.

Yes, I have tried to find one on the differential. I even used a mirror and light! The only thing is a brake cable with a retaining clip on the top of the differential. No other wires, and nothing attached like the one on the side of the tranny. Could the LTD-4WD be different?
