the latch has already been latched...there's some debris preventing full travel...try unlock and opening so the pawl springs back to the "ready to accept" the loop~
2006 Chysler 300 trunk want close
Trade piece of shit in...it's a 2017 iv had my fill of the issues with my Chrysler 300... It's going soon. Tradeing it in on another something new... It's junk... There junk
Trunk won't close problem started when weather was very cold ( 0 - 10 degrees ) , after it warmed up in garage it would close. Then the door locks and trunk would not operate correctly. The remote start didn't want to work, then it did then it wouldn't. Never know if the trunk will close or not. Door locks have a mind of its own. Other than not knowing what surprises are waiting for me its a cool car, but its on its way out as soon as I find something that's more predictable.

The hook at the bottom of the trunk will move over time.. this causes the latch to not catch it or not fully catch it..you can adjust it with the proper tool
Its all in the smart battery tender and antenna relays.... once ther changed out works like new
Probably left a key in the car, it's being detected and the trunk keeps opening.
