We have 1 key fob. Battery just died in key fob. My boyfriend happened to be at parts store and replaced battery. Now he's stuck at parts store unable to start car. In my divorce I bought the car from my ex husband and was given 1 key fob. I just messaged ex husband and he said the last time there were 2 fobs was in 2013. So if there is a solution to my current problem I am open to suggestions. And my answer would be yes, you will have to reprogram the key fob if you change the battery in fob. Also we currently have that 1 car while he is working on his truck. Yay.

The battery has nothing to do with starting the car. Take your fob, with the nose of the fob ( nose is opposite side of key ring) Push the start button.the engine should start.
