Will it damage my 2012 Chrysler T & C van if I go over the 5000 mile oil & filter changes by 500 miles just this one time?

Asked by b7_3_g Nov 16, 2015 at 12:02 PM about the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country Limited FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am 1014 miles short of the 5000 interval & I will drive 1500 this weekend.
Will it be ok if I drive the  highway miles and get the maintenance service when I get back?

NO!!!!! That is a long drive on oil that is not protecting your motor. No noticeable damage will likely be done. However, unnoticeable damage is the worst damage. If you're gonna get it changed anyway. Why not protect the motor before you beat it up with 1500 hard miles?

Thank you for your answers. That was my thought anyway, but thought I would get some others opinions also.
