Remote start will not work when vehicle is cold

When I try to start car with remote the light flashes once, but will not start when
cold. Is there something we need to do? Could it be a battery issue? Remote
start is suppose to work especially when it's cold.lol

Bummer but extreme cold plays hell with electronics.
