Why does my car keep turning off when I stop?

Asked by Sunnysmagnum Jan 06, 2015 at 11:58 AM about the 2006 Dodge Magnum SE RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a '06 Dodge Magnum. I have had a
ton of work done: new cat. Converter, new
throttle body sensor, new battery, new
spark plugs and coils, new alternator and
new starte... all in the past 6 months.
However, it turns off when I come to a stop.
It turns on fine, it idles fine while in park
(most of the time). Sometimes it drives fine
but lately and mostly it turns off when i
come to a stop and it struggles to
excellerate. The mechanic has tried to
diagnose the problem but the engine is not
reading anything being wrong with it.  HELP
PLEASE

06 magnum r/t 5.7. Same problems. Stalls intermittently. Replaced pcm twice, new cam shaft sensor, coils, plugs, map sensor, egr, throttle body position sensor, and now ordered adjustable foot pedal assembly. I run 91octane, and cleaner through it, ran transmission fluid in before oil change to clean out carbon build up, tried jumping asd relay ( don’t do it! Fry’s the pcm) and no idea why it’s still doing it. Ready to burn car to the ground.

I have owned my 2005 Hemi Mag., with only 60,523 actual miles. After being stopped, and slowly accelerating, the Car "Stumbles, Stutters, and Eng. Lite comes on. I must go to Netural, and re-start the car. It does NOT DO THIS, when Certified Mechanic is sitting shotgun with his Eng. Analyzer connected, under dash, but will do this agin several times, as soon as he is back at his shop. I Read, owners replaced (2) coils, and no more Stalls. ken h

My ‘05 did that. It was something in the fuel tank. There was a recall on this. But I can’t remember for sure what it was called. My car would die in the middle of intersection.
