HI GUYS I have a 2004 Ford escape XLT 161,000 miles on it my oil light comes on when I slow down and come to a stop then turns off once I accelerate what could be the problem?

one of 2 things Oil Pressure sending unit is going bad or the Oil Pump is worn. If it's the oil pump that needs to be replaced, I would suggest an high volume oil pump. A little more money, but gets that oil moving every where.

Had the same symptoms. Was caused by the oil pump bypass valve being stuck open. On my car it was located in the pump housing, so replacing the pump fixed the problem.
