Everything electrical on the Audi A6 is controlled by the Vag-Com system. On the mechanical side, you can seal the headlight with RTV after the problem is determined. Go to Audiworld.com and/or Audizine.com and find someone near you that can scan your system. The water may have shorted out or changed the amp draw of the DRL's and Vag-Com shut it down or you blew a fuse.
