Yes, it's very possible. Dodge has a system called "Security Key Immobilizer system". The key is "chipped" and If your key is not recognized by the cars security system it will not start. First thing to try is if you have a spare key, try that. If still no start, disconnect the battery for aprox. 5 min and try again. If all fails, then you may need to go to the dealer to get the security module and keys re-flashed.
