Why does my daughter's 06 stratus come out of gear when initial accelerations when cold?

Sometimes when she goes somewhere when the car is cold, the car will start to move
then come out of gear even if the temperature is hot outside.

Try disconnecting the battery for about a half hour. This will reset the cars computer. MAYBE that will get the transmission back on track. Just when you reconnect the battery take the vehicle for a half hour ride.

Thanks but did not help. Thinking it's a sensor but probably just a crap shoot without diagnostics. It won't respond at all until it is put back into park.
