Have a completely new top end!! But
the coolant bubbles and gurgles into
the overflow tank!!!??? It's not
running hot but it does creep up to
the half way mark on the gauge.
What did we miss or is this
something that will work itself out?
:-( hundreds of dollars later and not

No I don't? Should I get one? Could that be the problem?
Maybe. If the cap is old it might be releasing pressure too soon from a weak spring. A inexpensive thing that will do no harm
Oh I sure hope so!!! Thank you so much!! Will get one now! :-) thank you!
Be sure to not pop the old one off hot. Scalding is baaaaaaad
Good call firebird338. Didn't think of that ..was stuck on bubbling
Bubbling is usually not a good sign. Could be the radiator cap. Could be a cracked head or block. I certainly hope it is the radiator cap.
We did replace the thermostat as well, going to try the new radiator cap and see if that does it. The machine shop said there was no cracks in the head. Thank you!
I'm going to wait until she tells us it was the radiator cap and solved it. Then if not go in to the worst-case scenarios. Oh, sorry for referring to you in third-person Hali like you are not part of the discussion.
I really hope that fixes it. Hali, please let us know if it is fixed and what the issue was. Thanks.
