I just put new quick struts on my 2006 dodge
stratus sxt 2.7l front they still sound like old
ones,do I have to tighten nut in middle top of strut
down to make it stop rattling?

Noise might be coming from another component such as a bushing or sway bar link. If they are quick struts they should already be torqued to specifications. You may want to contact the company who makes them concerning a final torque while on the car. Good Luck1

Take a rubber mallet and beat on the sway bar end links to see if they are loose or make noise.
