How do I know if it is the battery or an electrical problem warning lights coming on

I can't get to the battery, it is the one in front of the driverside tire. First a gascap warning light was going on then it stopped. Then I got the battery warning light. It is on some times and off. Next, I got the ABS and traction warning lights they come on and go off. Then the A/c started slowing down. I hope it's just the battery and not a short or the alternator.
