04 Ford Escape whining noise electrical?

Asked by Jbuster07 Apr 17, 2019 at 07:20 PM about the 2004 Ford Escape XLT AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2004 Ford Escape. When the weather is warmer a
whining noise starts. The noise is consistent and
does not change with speed or braking. The noise
will sound even when just turning the key to
accessory mode. Started in fall, was quiet during
the winter and now with warmer weather it is
starting again. Any ideas?

I did try having the radio off before I started the car but can still hear the sound. Tried turning off the radio after it was running and still no change in sound

Did you ever figure out what this was? I'm experiencing the same symptom on my 2007 Ford Escape.
