Can you tow 05 Dodge Durango AWD with a tow truck Dolly?

Asked by Marcelle Nov 07, 2018 at 08:27 PM about the 2005 Dodge Durango Limited 4WD

Question type: General

I wanted to know what will happen if you tow a 05 Dodge Durango AWD V8
Hemi with a tow truck Dolly. My vechile was working fine but then it was
towed before I could say anything using a wheel dolly on a tow truck.  The
driver stated he did not mess with the transfer case or anything else on the
truck.  Now when I went to go and pick the truck up it will not move.  He tried
to put it in gear and push down on the gas but the truck wouldn't move.

Yes we can tow awd on dolly's no damage. Sounds like chance. Or bad luck. Sorry dude. It's not the dolly's fault.

Towing any all wheel drive vehicle with a flatbed or wrecker with wheel dollies is totally acceptable and will not do damage to the drivetrain at all.... I'm a professional mechanic and also operate a professional tow company with 20 years experience
